The Cloisters Villa - York

The Cloisters in York was an incredible find! The apartment was well-equipped, clean, and comfortable, and it offered great value for money. The location was perfect, close to the center of town but still peaceful in the evenings. The car park was a bonus! The hosts went above and beyond, providing thoughtful touches like fresh milk, a complimentary bottle of wine, and a delicious cake. We felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay.

The only small improvement for breakfast would be to offer a wider variety of options.

The house itself was immaculate and well-equipped, perfect for our stay. We especially appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack and the child-friendly amenities. The hosts were responsive and fixed a minor issue without any hassle. it felt like a home away from home.

The only minor issue we encountered was locating the cutlery drawer, but that could have been due to our unfamiliarity with the country. Additionally, there could have been more easily accessible instructions for certain systems, such as the central heating and TV.

Nothing it was perfect.

The location was amazing, just a stone's throw away from the city walls. the house itself was comfortable and spotlessly clean. the parking space at the rear of the house was a huge bonus, and it made our stay hassle-free. We didn't have to move the car until we checked out. we loved the convenience and cleanliness of the house.

That the apartment number was missing, so we had to make a call to find out which one we were staying in. Another issue was the early checkout time of 10:00 a.m.

Our stay at The Cloisters was absolutely fantastic. We spent three nights here and it was the perfect base for exploring the city. That the curtains in the living room were a bit see-through at night when the lights were on. It would have been nice to have some blinds for a bit more privacy.

It was also great for families with a cot/highchair provided and soundproof doors for peaceful naps. The location was excellent, close to the city walls and a supermarket. a superb stay that we would definitely recommend.

Our stay at Cloisters Villa exceeded our expectations. The location was ideal, with a Sainsburys just a 2-minute walk away and other supermarkets within 10 minutes. The development was quiet and perfect for a break for 2 adults. It was easy to reach the town center on foot, as well as the Minster and other historical attractions. The accommodation was reasonably priced and everything surpassed our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bottle of wine, milk, and fruit cake, which added a warm and personal touch. The liquid hand soap in the kitchen and bathroom had a refreshing citrus scent. The WiFi was excellent. Additionally, the apartment was situated in a very quiet residential neighborhood, only a 3-minute walk from the city center and with a large Sainsbury's just 100 meters away.
